Official Switch

This is sorta close to the truth of how I moved up to switch officially. When I finally asked to be tested (honestly after alot of badgering from the Dommes) I was told everyone already knew I was switch material. A wonderful Mistress who I was close to asked me to just attend one of the play parties and that she'd watch me for a few minutes and use that as my official test and that's just what we did. :) It was fun!

Testing IS important in the pro scene because we need to be sure you can work without seriously injuring someone. But I had worked closely with all of these women for over a year and everyone had seen and heard me play and were confident in my abilities. It wasn't luck or favoritism on my part, however, I'm pretty sure it's just because I waited far longer than most subs do to move up to switch title.

Anyway, enough going on about that. I've been busy with a few commissions but I'm keeping up with the comic, too. I am once again art-slave, chained to my canvas and sketchbook.

So, it's official! Nic is now a switch. I just wanted to address it.

And I get to say that I was the lucky one you tested on! A most memorable evening for me, and insightful considering the newness at the time. I'm glad it was a natural thing although a formality between you and the Mistress.

You forgot to mention how we "frown upon" ladies that move up before they are ready, with little or NO experience, just because they want to... Don't EVEN get me started on that... Where did I put that soap box!?!

xoxoxo,
Mistress Hikari

I have a friend who's a switch, working her way up.

(and this is in the Midwest, those wholesome Christians get freaky when the lights go out)

not everyone is a switch though - some people are just more naturally dominant. not a huge fan of the southern cali way of doing things where people have to start out as subs or switches at pro dungeons. I'd consider working at dominion if they didn't have that rule - especially since I've been a pro domme for 9 years and know what I'm doing - kinda silly. I started out as a domme in Chicago... I did experiment with submissive stuff before that, though - wasn't for me. But not everyone *has* to be a sub before they can be a domme. They just need training.

CynAptic, it's absolutely true that you don't have to start as a sub to become a Domme. And I personally never worked at the Dominion but at PAS we would test everyone coming in so if you claimed you were a Domme they would test you as a Domme and if you proved you knew what you were doing then you would start as a Domme.

It was technically your choice what you started as so long as you could prove you knew what you were doing. We ARE a business AND the scene motto IS "Safe, sane and consensual."

Is there a difference between the Switch test for someone who already passed the Sub test and the Dom test for somebody who already passed the Sub test? Or is the Switch test just the Sub test plus the Dom test? Anything about not getting caught up in/being stuck with one of the roles for each client?

In my business subs really only get tested to be aware of their own limits. Most girls can start with very little experience and we only spend time with them to make sure they're clear of the rules and their own personal limits. Testing to be a switch is very much like testing to be a Domme. I've heard of instances where girls who are good with some play but not great with others will be started as switches, INSTEAD of as Dommes so that they can learn more but I hate thinking of a Switch as "Domme-Lite" because frankly most of us are just as good as if not better than any other Domme. I could have been a Domme a long time ago but I much prefer to switch. :)
