Dungeon Furniture

A few of you guys suggested a comic or two back that you'd like to see a brief explanation of the furniture we have in the dungeon and it's uses. I hope this is satisfying to those of you who wonder and not too dull for those of you who are familiar with these objects. So, seriously, if you guys liked this please let me know. And if it was boring let me know that, too! I'm leaving it entirely up to you guys whether or not I do anymore comics of this nature.

Sorry for all of the delays. I'm working 5 days a week now and I've been kept pretty busy. Also, I haven't found myself doodling as much lately. I'm not sure why. I've been really grumpy so it could be something to do with that, as well. I don't produce art when I'm in bad moods. :/

I don't trust in my ability to do a decent drawing of a piece of furniture so for fun and so that you can get a better idea of the items I describe in this comic I figured I'd add afew photos I have of the objects. All of these pictures are pretty out of date so my hair is totally different in them.

This is a horse. It's a custom made one by Downtown Willy who creates BEAUTIFUL pieces of dungeon furniture. As you can see any kinky object can be coated in different colored and padded fabrics or adorned with special O rings for a unique look and/or feel.
That's a Saint Andrews Cross there behind me in this next photo. Most of the time these are just plain wood but as I mentioned above they can be padded and coated for look and comfort. The best ones are bolted to a wall or have a very sturdy support system so that subs can lean their weight into it safely. (Also, just behind my butt here you can see the crank to a suspension bar like I mentioned in the comic.)
I was shocked and appalled to find I had almost NO pictures of me with a suspension bar. This is distressing since I use them during almost every session. I'm sorry I couldn't find a great example of one (you can find better ones in a google search I'm sure but I wanted to use my own images) so I included two of the so-so pictures I have of one. These are both very old shots from the dungeon BEFORE the fire and so things have changed since then and we have better, cleaner rigs up now.
Anyway... I hope that was enlightening! And sorry to those who suggested I do a video walk-thru of the dungeon, showing off the toys by using them on PrettyBoy. I couldn't force him to cooperate on that one. ;p
As for my personal life. It's pretty good. I'm comfortable in my new place and I'm keeping busy. I've been grouchy but I'm hoping it'll pass. Not too much else to say, for now. I'm really happy with how playful the colors came out in this comic. Tell me what you think of this update and I'll get you another one soon!

I wouldn't mind a bit of the "how-to" and "what-is" stuff. I find it difficult to find normal, walk-one-through-it information on kinky sex and paraphernalia.

I like these, very informative! Would be interested to see what other bits and pieces are used :)

Sexy comic!

I would love for you to just share whatever you think people should know, especially for people just starting to get into it.

This is cute once in a while, but I wouldn't like it too much because of those "in the know" :P

Lori, that's why I haven't done anything like this up until now. I like to try to keep the comics entertaining for both vanilla folk and kinky folk. Unless I can turn a lesson into a joke I don't want to get TOO instructy. I'll be sure to try to keep a balance so it doesn't get boring.

I liked this very much. I'd like to see some more of the tools and toys you use in the dungeon as I like them very much. I like BDSM but I only have a beginner's knowledge and would like to be safe before I use these tools. I'd like to know more about rope bondage especially especially kits like this one: http://www.spencersonline.com/product/ss-pb-under-bed-restraint-kit/

The kit you listed is not a hefty duty tool so we don't use things like that in the dungeon. Most of the restraints we have are leather etc because we can't afford to replace them constantly if clients or girls break them.

HOWEVER, I actually own a restraint kit just like that. It WOULD be easy to break if you exerted too much force (at least on mine the "hooks" are a cheap bendable plastic) but if you have a submissive who's mindful of that and not going to struggle excessively it's fine. I actually use mine under a giant beanbag I own instead of under a bed and it works great for some comfy fun! :)

I did enjoy this, though I'd like to see the more esoteric tools and toys used. I enjoy the fetishes because of that... while "Rule 34" is all well and good, I'm always astonished at some of the things people find arousing... and some of the things people are surprised at people being aroused by. :-D

I enjoy comics like this, and like in the beginning when you mentioned things like: "This is what happens before a session, this is an interview, this is when girls are picked out..." and so on. I'm sort of knowledgeable about BDSM but I've never ever been to a place like your Dungeon, so that's fascinating for me. :-)

this is great! I haven't ever seen a dungeon, so it's super interesting to me to see. I generally like instructy stuff and "this-is-what-it's-really-like" stuff a lot! I liked the description of your interview and what happens before a session too.

Interesting, I think I used almost all of these tools in Second Life (for those who do not know is a kind of 3D universe shared by several users, a little chat, a little play), in real life but I was tied only once at cross of St. Andrew, was at a convention, and I could not resist to get in mostra.Mi were signs of a whipping for almost a week.

Nic you're asking what we think of this. Very honestly, I found it a bit cute and a bit boring too. I try not to have very high expectations though as this is, after all, a free web comic and I very much so dislike that people who get stuff free complain afterwards.
But you do so well at drawing cute kinky stuff, funny stories and curvy girls, I couldn't help but look forward to your next page...
What about topics like bisexuality in the dungeon?

I second what K said. :)

Jada, I find that alot of people are very interested in the inter-personal relationships within the dungeon. I tried to show it a little bit with Nic and Eve's dislike for one another and with the twins "relationship." I'm worried that going too much into this will take us too far into the fantasy realm and away from the reality I try to show... I'm trying to avoid becoming a soap opera, I guess. :)

Nic, I could hug you and make you cake for this! It's informative and adorable at the same time. You could do a book, you know... With illustrations and how-to's. I'm sure it'd sell like hotcakes :)
Personally, I'd like to see some forced feminization (but, honestly, is it really forced? ;D). As for tools and stuff... How the hell do you operate a violet wand?

Nic said...

Tasha, I like that you asked about specifics you'd like to see! And mentioning a violet wand, well, way to get my wheels turning!
Maybe I will do some more "how-to" comics on my favorite topics like electricity and some of the rarer forms of play. :D

Somehow I'm still stuck on the restraints used with beanbag comment :P I haven't really encountered a lot of the formal BDSM equipment because we just make our own or improvise with what we've got and I don't really see a lot of it in porn (I guess they make you pay for that porn!) so it was neat to see what all is used and why. An info-session now and then would be nifty :)

Bugger, I forgot to ask: Where'd you get the shoes in the St Andrew's shot? They're gorgeous!

Nic said...

Those are Iron Fist brand shoes. I'm in love with ALL of their shoes and I get them online. Just be aware that they run a half-size big. :)

I like the informative side of your comic as much as the funny side, and much more than the sexy side (not that I don't like all of its sides; I'd rather put your comic on a suspension bar than a Saint Andrew's Cross ;3).
